Bumble BFF

Sometimes the best thing for the soul is laughter with good friends. When Bumble approached me about helping them spread the word about the new sector of their dating app, I have to admit I was a little confused. First, I thought wellllll I’m married so I don’t think I’m the best candidate for a dating app. Second, I’ve been dating my husband forever so I’m actually way behind the curve on the dating app scene ha!

The awesome team at Bumble quickly explained this was a new avenue for even them. Bumble was now launching Bumble BFF!! This new addition to their app is geared solely towards women trying to connect and find new friends, hence the name Bumble BFF. I think I got overly excited when hearing about all the details. If you’re a women in a new place, or just someone who has been busy and had a hard time plugging into extra activities, it can be really hard to meet new friends. This new sector of the app is genius.

Here’s how it works: “Once BFF is selected, you’re shown other people of the same gender who are also looking for BFFs. All BFF communications are marked with our new callout mint color from matching screen, to expiring queue, to conversation list and conversation bubbles. We are incredibly excited about the ability to help people find anyone from a new BFF to a best man.” -Bumble

It really was as easy as that. I signed up for the app. Went to the settings, clicked the Bumble BFF option, and boom… there they were; a ton of new sweet faces, with even sweeter bios, for me to scroll through. I found myself noticing most girls were looking for the exact same thing I was. Someone to share a good time with, or a glass of wine, and maybe a little adventure. Most were new to Memphis, and not sure where to plug themselves in. Some were transitioning from one job to another, and now had more time to get out and about. You can list what your interested in like yoga, going to a movie, or just a walk with your dogs. You swipe right to start a convo, and then go from there.

I invited a group of girls, via the Bumble BFF app, to join me at my bakery (Whimsy Cookie Company) for a Sunday Soiree that included cookies, flower crown making, champagne bar drinking, and some amazing apps. We had such a great time chatting,a and getting to know each other. We were all different ages, some moms, and some still in college. But we all had one thing in common. We loved some good girl time!

We enjoyed apps by the amazing food blogger Cara, of Caramalized. She had creative, fresh items, that were even yummier then they were beautiful. Here presentations are amazing. Kacie, of Kacie Cooper Floral Designs, set up the most fun flower crown bar, and walked us through how to make them. I loved how different everyone’s design choices were. We had a delicious champagne bar set up by Poplar Pike Wine and Liquors. It was a seriously fun Sunday Soiree!
