Let’s Make a Splash in 2018!!!

I have really spent some time over the last few days reflecting on all the wonderful things 2017 has given to me. All the experiences I have had, new friends I have made, and joyous occasions I have shared with family. I think all too often we get caught up trying to make changes for our future, and forget to pause and thank God for all the blessings He has given us in the past. I have really tried to pause and give thanks with a great full heart for all He has given in 2017.

In 2018 you will see some changes coming to Collins Closets. I am excited to share with you a few things that are to come, and a few of my top New Years resolutions.

First up… whats to come! OK people…. I’m going to give vlogging a go! I have heard your requests for hair and make up tutorials, and I’m going to make it happen. I will also be giving you some behind the scenes looks at products I’m in love with, pieces of clothing I can’t live without and why, and a birds eye view of some of my travel adventures.

That leads me in to my next new addition, “Travel.” It’s always been a big part of my life, but now I’m going to be making it a big part of my blog as well. I love traveling with my husband, the girls (my dogs Belle and Ella), and my friends. The more unique the better. I have a list of places I want to go to, and a few of them I will be checking off in the spring. The first stop will be Park City, Utah. I’m heading back to one of my favorite places, but this time it will be with friends. We are all craving a little snow this winter so up to the mountains we go. I will be leaving the show for some time at the beach as Cannon and I are heading to Mexico. Next stop is L.A. for a blogging conference, and a little fun in Mailbu. I am all about learning, and the speakers at the conference will blow your mind. Everyone from Kim K to Kelly Wearstler are going to speaking their mind, and empowering women. We are going to wrap up the spring with a road trip starting in D.C and… well you’ll just have to following along to see all the places we are going before our final destination!

Lastly, I want to thank each of you for following along. With all the changes in the blogging world as well as social media, I know you have many outlets you could be turning to for your inspiration. You will never know what it means to me that you have chosen Collins Closets. I know there are more changes to come in the social media world. So with that being said if you love my fashion and lifestyle picks and don’t want to miss anything I encourage you to follow me in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app. You can download it here. If you’re not a huge fan of getting the daily emails this will allow you to turn those off and still get all the info you need!

Now on to my resolutions!

I’ve never been a huge fan of New Years resolutions. They are sometimes unrealistic, and hard to keep. This year I’ve decided to make a few small ones in regards to health and fitness, and focus on sticking with them! I’m thinking this will be more of a lifestyle change, than a quick fix. We shall see…

I am going to start by incorporating these small changes into my every day life. I don’t want to do it all at one time. I will tackle these slowly to make lifestyle changes. Starting with Diet Coke. I drink at least one everyday. My goal is by the end of 2018 to cut back to one a week. I’m going to start in January with committing to one a day. In February I will try for one every other day, and so on.

Midway through the year I was doing the 5k app. I made it half way through, and when the weather turned I switched to doing a lot more Pure Barre. I can see benefits of both. In 2018 I am going to incorporate both into my routine.

I am also going to gradually work on my diet. Up first is carbs. My plan is to cut them by about 80%. I don’t think eliminating them completely is realistic, but cutting down on them is totally do able.

I’m excited for what is to come in 2018. I will be updating you guys with progress on all fronts. Stay tuned for all the fun, hard work, and most of all inspiration!

xx
