Summer “SAVE” Swimsuits under 40!!

Yesterday I gave my reasoning behind why you should invest in a good quality cover up. Today I’m covering why you can save those pennies, and purchase a lower cost bathing suit. Here is my breakdown. Seasonally trends change, our bodies change, and quite frankly our taste changes! On top of all that no matter what swimsuit companies say, or no matter what product they try and sell you to specially wash your bathing suit in; they still have general wear and tear. I have experienced the same snags, and color changing, on expensive suits as I have cheap ones. Yes, there is occasionally that miracle suit that will stand the test of time, but the combo of sun, chlorine, and sitting on concrete, or sand, is simply too much for most fabrics.

My best advice, if your on a budget, is try and find a lower cost bathing suit that will get you through this summer only. If you pull it back out next summer too then BONUS, your getting more wear out of it then its worth. The blue one I’m wearing is from Target, and is under $30. I personally thing Target is killing the one piece game right now, so I linked several of my favorites from there! My white high waisted two piece is from Forever 21, and together is under $30.

I typically try and play the game with myself of how much will I be paying per one time wearing this item. This way I can justify spending a little more on staple pieces, and try to go for the lower cost trendy items. Yes I will sometimes pay upwards of $200.00 for a pair of nice jeans. I will wear them 1,000 times. Break that down and that equals .20 cents per wear!!! For a bathing suit, unless i’m in loveeee with it, I try to keep it below $80 for brand names, and below $35 for non brand.

I’ve linked some of my favorite swimmies under $40 below and above!! Happy Summer babes!!
